How you will help us to make Zzoomm awesome….
As an MDU Lead, you''ll play a vital role in the installation of our full fibre network at MDU premises across one of our flagship builds, Hereford. You will lead all MDU activity ensuring we manage both tenants, landlords and managing agents'' expectancies as well as ensuring Zzoomm are mobilised internally to deliver full fibre capability to many new customers!
Who will guide me….?
You will report into the Head of Wayleaves and MDUs and work alongside broader experienced fibre and installation teams. You will find that Zzoomm adopts a very open operational style and so you will have access to every area of the organisation and will have the opportunity to participate in broad cross-functional discussions around how to get the best results for the Business.
A day in the life of the MDU Lead ...
Complete the survey for all MDU buildings, including duct entry points, building overview and internal risers, to cover all aspects of the installation in line with Zooms specifications.
Create good quality survey packs that shows the proposed installation route, which will then be shared with the Managing agent or Landlord of the property.
Identify and manage all point-of-work risks such as COVID-19; Asbestos; Electricity strikes and fire guarding requirements. Reporting these to HSEQ team.
Bring new ways of working which will improve productivity, cost and delivery.
Liaise with any external contractors needed to complete any outstanding works.
Work closely and effectively with the Wayleave Team to ensure surveys are met in a timely manner and contribute to the process of securing a Wayleave.
Work with build team to ensure MDUs installs are delivered in line with the build programme
Strong understanding of fibre networks, particularly FTTP
Exceptional at problem solving
Ability to prioritise workload
Communicate effectively at different levels
Good verbal and written skills
Exposure to MDU build, survey and install would be preferable
