The role
Reporting directly to the Factory Operations Manager, you will be responsible for managing the site and overseeing both hygiene and production.
You will ensure that high standards of factory hygiene are maintained without adversely affecting the safety of product or manufacturing efficiencies.
The role covers all aspects of cleaning / hygiene from short term daily duties, to weekly, to monthly and to periodic cleaning frequencies.
Evaluate and recommending the training requirements within the night hygiene & operational departments.
Ensure continuous improvement in performance and cost effectiveness of hygiene services whilst Improving existing operations and incorporate new methods and processes.
Conduct trials of new equipment and chemicals in conjunction with suppliers.
The person
Our ideal candidate will have proven experience in a high and low risk food environment with experience of BRC/EFSIS accreditation and HACCP.
You will have RSH / IEHO Advanced Food Hygiene Certificate Training Certificates in: The Management of cleaning and disinfection, Chemical Safety and Hygiene, COSHH Regulations and assessment.
A strong track record in leading and training hygiene teams with experience in implementing and managing hygiene schedules.
Professional qualifications
* HACCP Certificate
* Level 3 in H&S. Either IOSH Managing safely or Cranswick equivalent
* Food Safety Level 3
* Hygiene & Chemical Training
* CIH training certificate
* Leadership and Management Level 3 or above
* Hazard and near miss reporting training
* Accident investigation training
* All relevant risk assessments and safe working procedures are reviewed and to current methods
