We are looking for Support Workers to join our team in Huntington!
We have one full time (37.5) contract available and one part time contract available. Please note drivers are required, as the ladies have a vehicle and love to go out and about. Example of shift times are 07:00am-14.30pm, 14.30pm - 22:00pm. The working rota is usually planned 4 weeks in advance to give all staff a fair working pattern as we understand this is important, flexibility is a must as this role will require occasional evening, weekend and sleep in work when needed.
You will receive an enhanced flat rate payment of £60.00 for any sleep in shifts carried out. The payment for sleep ins is non-contractual.
We are currently in the process of reviewing our salaries. The salary for this role will be increased to a minimum of £10.33 per hour (a full time annual salary of £20,144) with effect from 1 August 2022.
Experience is preferred however not essential as we offer full training and a safe induction. We are looking for people who share our values, which are

Our Service & The People We Support
Are you a person who likes variety in their work, knowing each day will be different to the last? At this service in Huntington, we support five ladies ranging in ages 50-70 years old. They require a patient staff team who are kind, trustworthy and caring.
The ladies at our service are all social butterflies and lead very busy lives. They love to go out into the community regularly and enjoy day trips out.
Just a few of the activities the ladies enjoy are going shopping, to see local street entertainers, theatre trips, bowling, cinema trips, dance and sensory sessions, having afternoon tea, going to church and seaside trips. When the ladies are in the service they enjoy baking, arts and crafts, themed nights, pamper sessions, interactive games.
What does a Support Worker do?
Although the women that we support in this service are independent they do require a range of different needs depending on the individual, this can include-
Personal care - Will need support to get ready for the day -I.e. showering, dressing, medication administration.
Supporting to live independently - budget management, paying bills, housework, organising appointments and cooking healthy meals.
Excellent communication skills/relationship building - support to understand the world around them and promoting positive relationships.
Community & Social Inclusion- supporting individuals to access and participate in their local community and social events to promote life skills and individuality.
