Job Description

Clinical Lead Nurse | Dementia & Elderly Care | Worcester

* Must be a Senior Registered Nurse with an NMC pin

* The Salary is £22.00ph, paid breaks - £45,000 pa

* A mix of office shifts and nursing shifts - Shorter 6-hour shifts and 12-hour shifts

The Brief: Working as a Lead Nurse within an Outstanding rated Nursing Home offering elderly and dementia care to its elderly residents in Worcester.

Key Details

* The working hours are full time, 39 hours per week on the day shift.

* A mix of nursing on the floor and supernumerary responsibilities, hours are a mix of shorter 6-hour shifts and 12-hour nursing shifts, 1x weekend in3.

* The salary is £22.00ph with paid breaks - earn £45,000 pa.

* Must have an active NMC Pin and a Nursing Qualification (Adult, Learning Disability or Mental Health trained)

* Ideally, you have experience in palliative and dementia care within a nursing home.

* At least 1 year of leadership experience on a ward or in a nursing home.

Qualifications and Skills

* To be registered with the Nursing & Midwifery Council

* You have a Degree in Adult, Learning Disability or Mental Health Nursing.

* Must have 1 year of experience in a similar role as a Unit Manager / Deputy Manager / Night Manager / Clinical Lead.

* Strong leadership experience with the ability to plan allocate and delegate work appropriately and the ability to play a leadership role in contributing to improving and maintaining the best practice of care in the home.

* A professional attitude is essential with excellent communication and organisational skills.

Duties

* Support the Manager in the implementation of all policies, procedures and business objectives.

* Act as a focal point for contact with residents, their relatives and visitors, as well as health and social care professionals.

* Ensure Residents are at the heart of the care delivery and that their wishes and preferences enhance their wellbeing

* Ensure all recording systems and organizational documentation is of a high standard and kept up to date

* To take the lead on clinical audits
