Job Description
A new position is available working with this well established niche'' (London based W1) forwarding agent for a Shipping & Customer Service Administrator with French or Italian language.
The Shipping/CS Administrator will be responsible for;
- Assist with shipping documentation for exports
- Give quotations to current and potential customers
- Liaise with offices abroad
- Keep customers up-to-date via email and telecom
- Provide solutions to our customers
- Answer phonecalls
- Travel abroad when necessary
- Stock maintenance for our main customers
- Build relationships with our clients
Essential
Basic knowledge of import/export customs procedures (customs clearance) Experience in customer service/logistics
French or Italian language skills
**Stable work history and 5 year employment record with no gaps
Ability to build and maintain good working relationships with clients and colleagues Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Compulsory checks:Due to the nature of the role there are a number of compulsory checks that must be carried out.
- A criminal record check - basic disclosure (DBS) carried out by the Disclosure and Barring Service.
- 5-year reference history with gaps in employment scrutinised and accounted for.

Experience of Boxtop/Boxtrax IT systems
