Technical Author

Technical Author - 6 Month contract - Hybrid role - Manchester - £400 - £450 Inside IR35

Technical Author required by blue-chip client to work on a large program of work to update & refresh 24x7 customer facing IT infrastructure. This includes adding new system functionality, capability, and a migration of services into AWS. You will produce and take ownership of a wide range of documentation to support products and services provided by the IT function. Documentation ranging from User Guides to Service and Detailed Technical Support documentation will fall under the remit of the Technical Author.

The Technical Author, will be required to:

? Work closely with technical staff to produce clear, concise unambiguous technical documentation? Write new copy to an agreed standard / style? Convey information appropriate to a specified target audience (from End-User to Subject Matter Expert)? Update existing text to present a uniformed style / level of detail across a document suite? Redesign and reformat existing documentation? Produce supporting images, graphics, and diagrams? Produce and maintain a library of document templates

Profile:

? Candidates should have 3 years'' experience in technical author role? Excellent written English skills? Strong verbal and interpersonal skills? Capable of producing technical diagrams using appropriate software toolsets? Experience of working in a corporate environment? Working knowledge of Modern IT technologies

As the role requires working with sensitive data, you will be required to undergo security clearance checks, and a DBS criminal record check.
