Job Description
Horizon Teachers is seeking an enthusiastic qualified teacher for a Deputy Director of English role for a great Secondary School in Merton, South-West London. Why this role?

- Qualified Teacher Status (or equivalent)
- The ability to teach across Key stage 3 to 5
- Knowledge and experience of writing lesson plans, developing resources and assessing students work
- An understanding of inclusive provision and practices, which offer equality of access to the curriculum for all students, including special educational needs, English as an additional language and high achievers.
- To assist the Director of English with all tasks
- To be accountable for student progress and development throughout their learning, including meeting student achievement targets
- To ensure the provision of an appropriately broad, balanced, relevant, and differentiated curriculum for students
- To assist the Director of English to effectively and efficiently manage and deploy teaching/support staff, financial and physical resources
- To assist the Director of English in leading and resourcing whole school numeracy
