Interim Procurement Project Manager

Inside IR35: £500 per day, dependent on experience

A local authority based in Guildford is currently looking for an interim procurement project manager to lead a the procurement team and develop a strategy for an ambitious new programme of house-building in the local area.

By setting up a call-off framework, the authority plans to procure the technical services required to take a new-build housing project conception to completion. The accepted candidate will draft specifications on behalf of the authority''s Corporate Programmes and Regeneration department in accordance with the Public Contracts Regulations, and work with the procurement team to set up the contracting framework.

In this role, the individual will be expected to have a rich understanding of the various specialisms of construction-related work (architectural design, civil & structural engineering, M&E design, landscape design, cost consultancy, etc.), as well as knowledge of the different regulations governing public procurement.

This role can be worked from home, but will require occasional visits to the authority''s offices once every week or two to liaise with colleagues within other departments.
