Job Description

ATL are looking for an experienced Senior Assembly Technician to join our Final Assembly team in Milton Keynes. The successful candidate will have relevant experience in wiring, plumbing and subassemblies, and will be capable of working alone to get the job completed. This job role requires excellent attention to detail, and duty of care to ensure that our assemblies are finished to the highest quality.

Job Purpose

The Senior Final Assembly Technician will be responsible for several elements of the manufacture of fuel cells including manufacturing sub-assemblies, installing cells in containers, wiring and plumbing. The technician should concentrate on maintaining their schedule and ensuring their work is quality assured. All technicians should continually develop their skills to allow continual progression and improvement of the team.

Main Duties

  • To aid the Final Assembly Manager in general engineering duties;
  • Responsible for completing assemblies to high quality within set timeframes;
  • To manufacture wiring looms to according to drawings;
  • To manufacture hoses to according to CAD files and pictures;
  • To assemble hardware such as top plates, pumps etc;
  • Continue to gain further experience to complete more challenging assemblies, prototypes and support equipment under pressure without dropping standards and quality;
  • Required to show good time management skills combined with efficiency;
  • Report any issues with BOM s and Routes to Final Assembly Manager who will manage any changes through engineering;
  • Regularly self-check work to ensure a high-quality assembly with no non-conformances.

Other jobs within your capabilities may be requested by Senior Management from time-to-time including any other role that you possess experience in that the Company may require you to fulfil.

Responsibilities & Competences

  • Full training of ATL products provided;
  • Two years experience of a relevant profession i.e. wiring, plumbing etc
  • Ability to commit to a fair and demonstrated work schedule;
  • Ability to follow instructions;
  • Attention to detail;
  • Dexterity;
  • Ability to remain focused to work alone.

  • Salary: £14.00 - £16.50 per hour - dependant on experience
