Assistant Manager

We have a fantastic opportunity for an Assistant Manager to join a sucessful food store where you can develop your skills and use your experience to be fast tracked to be a Store Manager. This client is expanding, opening new stores and looking to continue growing all the time. As an Assistant Store Manager you will be able to motivate and inspire your teams, ensure the store looks great and has high availability of stock and product.

Experience of working in a fast-paced retail environment is essential, having hospitality or big box or food retail or convenience retail or a supermarket background would be an advantage. We are open to speaking to candidates who want to reach the next level in their career and will consider applications from Department Managers, Assistant Managers or Deputy Managers or want to develop to become a Store Manager.

To be our clients new Assistant Manager, you will be a hands-on, shop floor based, commercial and a result driven retail manager who has a passion for coaching and developing teams, combined with a passion for delivering world class customer service!

You will need your own transport to travel to our clients'' stores, in addition we want a proven Assistant Store Manager who can support other stores across the area when required so a flexible approach is a must.

As an Assistant Manager, your responsibilities will include the following:

Driving customer service standards in your store.
Acting as the Duty Manager/Senior Manager in charge
Increase sales in store and ensuring site profitability.
Training, coaching and developing your team.
Maintain company and brand standards are maintained as well as adhering to H&S guidelines.
Achieving store and company KPI''s.
Profit protection and stock management
Keeping up with current trends, including competitor analysis. Our client''s Assistant Manager role is the ideal next challenge for someone with experience of managing large team and driving results in fast paced stores. We will consider applications form ambitious candidates who want to step up to become a Store Manager or even retail managers who want a return to an industry they are passionate about.

In reward for your hard work, you will receive a basic salary circa £22-23,000, which is reviewed throughout your career. A realistic earning potential of over £24k/£25k is there for you to achieve with hard work and success. Please note, due to locations and working hours you will need your own transport.
