Job Description
Concept Resourcing are delighted to be working once again with an existing client who require a Head of Procurement and Sustainability to join the team.
Working collaboratively across the business, you will create and lead on strategic planning with a focus on sustainability in an ever changing world to be as ethical and environmental friendly as possible whilst still delivering on business goals.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for:
Delivering procurement services in accordance with processes and procedures
Take charge in creating, developing and deploying strategic plans to teams
Working collaboratively with senior stakeholders and management including operations, legal and supply chain teams
Providing procurement and sustainability advice and guidance to clients
Work to identify cost savings and business operational improvements
Creating and implementing frameworks and contracts with external teams
Work to meet net zero targets amongst the business strategy
Delivering procurement services in line with PCR 2015 - public sector regulations and governance
Continuously up skilling procurement team members to develop their levels of knowledge and productivity
Manage supplier relationships whilst being able to cement friendships and partnerships in the process
Regular analysis of complex issues and risks
Provide technical and commercial advice
Undertake regular auditing to ensure service deliverables are achieved on time and in budgetThe ideal candidate will attain the following skills:
Experience of working in public sector/not for profit/research would be advantageous
Excellent communicator - both verbal and written
Experience and knowledge within working in line with PCR 2015/OJEU regulations is essential
CIPS/MCIPS qualified in line with the procurement team who hold these currently
Knowledge and experience of working in a role with sustainable/net zero objectives and goals
Ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders in the both the public and private sectors
Technical knowledge would be advantageous
Able to confidently create and design strategic plans and frameworks to then be deployed across the business
Professional acumen - able to confidently represent the business at functions
IT literate
Ability to manage several direct reports whilst up skilling and training staff
Regular reporting and market analysis on trends
Decision maker in risk/time pressured situations
Team playerThis position is hybrid working with 1 day a week required in the offices in Bristol. You MUST attain CIPS at any level and have a passion for sustainability.
Salary - £60000 - £69,000 dependant on experience.
