Purchasing Specialist

Just Recruitment is working with a global food producer, they are looking to add an experienced Purchasing Specialist to their team.

This is an excellent opportunity to get involved with all processes, including implementation across the wider business team.

The key duties for this role include:
Managing and being responsible for the procurement process
Lead negotiations of contracts with suppliers
Collating supplier quotations and ensuring procurement requirements are strategically sourced from the best suppliers
Build relationships with new suppliers and onboard as per the company guidelines
Creating cost models and price analysis
Assess and review supplier performance against KPIs
Maintain communication with relevant managers to ensure production priorities and shortfall are addressed in a timely manner

Specific requirements and experience needed for this role:
Proven experience with direct and indirect
Highly motivated and delivery focused
Experience of food manufacturing with exposure to chocolate or cocoa
Analytical
Great negotiation skills

The ideal candidate will be a team player as well as self-motivated. He or she will be highly organised and capable of managing a dynamic workload. Key attributes include attention to detail and the ability to communicate across functions. Will have a flexible approach and able to adapt quickly to a market driven strategic decisions, and of course a passion for food production!
