A superb client of Fortem People is looking to recruit a Buyer for it''s busy team on the outskirts of Otley. Reporting into the Supply Chain Manager, you''ll provide an exceptional service to the internal customer, ensuring all required materials are ordered to meet production requirements and time frames.

This is a site based role.

Key Responsibilities:

Ordering and scheduling of raw materials to meet production requirements.

Managing the supplier onboarding process

Maintaining IT database of suppliers, Items and Prices

Maintaining contract database and highlighting when contracts are due for renewal

Negotiation of prices to achieve value for money

Requesting quotations from suppliers and evaluation to determine best option for the business

Support the procurement manager in the implementation of new processes and procedures

Support other members of the organisation in terms of purchasing goods and services

Ensure all purchasing activities are conducted following legal, ethical and company guidelines

Weekly / Monthly reporting of spend

Identify potential cost savings

Manage and build supplier relationships

Full time role. Monday - Friday

Hours of work: 37.5

5 days either 8 / 830 or 4 / 430
