Warehouse Team Leader

The successful Warehouse Team Leader will oversee a team and will be responsible for the process and system management as well as ensure that the warehouse operations perform well and that targets are met.
Responsibilities involve:

Responsible for the motivation, welfare, discipline and activity of the warehouse team
Identify any training and development opportunities within the team and facilitate training where possible
Hold weekly meetings to ensure all warehouse staff are kept updated with any developments.
Quality Control
Performance Management
Ensure smooth running of operations by continuously improving processes and solving problems
Attend Management Meetings and contribute towards the operational and strategic development of the company.
Produce monthly production and logistical service provider reports and issue weekly shelf life reports.
Manage Carrier Dispatches
Support internal and external auditing.
Perform stock check and warehouse duties
Promote hands-on work ethics with receiving deliveries, checking for damaged or missing items and storing these away. Moving stock around the warehouse by hand, lifting gear or forklift. Picking & packing orders. Load and occasionally deliver goods.
Process Export Paperwork
Health and Safety. Ensuring compliance with all relevant Quality standards/procedures on your site. This includes reporting any deviations from these standards/procedures, completing corrective actions and making recommendations to prevent similar deviations in the future.Skills required:
Strong IT Skills
Good knowledge of export processes
Forklift Driver Certification & experience
Strong levels of numeracy and literacy
Strong Organisation skills
High level of attention to detail
Able to prioritise time & attention on high valued projects
Organised and calm under pressure
