About the roleOur client has opened their first retail store with the intention to reach a whole new audience and allowing the current community to experience the brand! You''ll get to be a part of helping to shape the in-store experience, guided by the supportive team who have already created a strong community through their great products and excellent experience. This is an opportunity to get in on the ground floor of their retail strategy, making a direct impact on the future growth. You will help define and implement the in-store experience, which will inform how they offer the service in many stores to come.They are looking for someone who likes a challenge, who''s capable of quick, creative solutions and is excited by the idea of helping build something from the ground up. You must be passionate about people and the retail industry. You will possess a high standard of organisation, time management, and commercial capability.The right candidate will be passionate about women''s clothing, love spending time with customers and confident they can deliver a best-in-class experience alongside commercial results. You will help define how we scale this into other stores through the right team, training, and processes. You will thrive on working autonomously to achieve clear goals. While the majority of your time will be spent in-store, you will proactively work to ensure you are meeting with and getting to know the wider business and team, leveraging and sharing your insights and experience.Responsibilities?Responsible for the commercial performance of the store, driving forward sales, and achieving company objectives?Building customer profiles and nurturing relationships with VIP clients.?Providing excellent, memorable customer service to our community?Have an eye for styling and a passion for women''s clothing?Working with the Founder, Head of Marketing, and relevant stakeholders to define retail goals and procedures?Lead and manage the store team, including recruitment, development, coaching, and well-being?Maintaining appropriate staffing levels within budget?Ensuring an outstanding experience for 100% of visitors to the store?Maintain appropriate stock levels in your shop and ensure exceptional standards in housekeeping and visual merchandising?Maintaining the security of the premises, stock, and all monies?Being hands-on and ready to take on any task that may be required for the effective running of the store/or wider business?Proactively developing experiments and insights to inform how we can improve what we do and how we do itNOTE: The role is full-time and you will be required to work weekends, evenings, and some public holidays as neededExperience?2-4 years of experience in retail as a manager?CRM experience?Experience managing people and a natural role model?Demonstrable experience delivering exceptional customer experience and business results?Demonstrable experience selling products requiring specialist knowledge?Experience recruiting, training and developing a team?A willingness to embrace demonstration-based sales techniques?Experience in driving business KPI''s, staff planning, inventory etc.?Hands-on and roll your sleeves up?Excellent communication skills and merchandising abilities - including the capacity to converse warmly and effortlessly with customersQualities?Fun, kind and personable?You use data and insights to inform your choices and improve what you do and how you do it?While you are data driven you know not all data is in a spreadsheet and you can pull insights from observation and other sources?You can navigate complex people situations with deft negotiation and influencing skills?Your verbal and written communication game is strong, you can clearly share your ideas and data to support them.
